Parkend Station

2006 saw the official opening of the line through to Parkend by HRH Princess Royal and the station is now open to visitors.

It makes a superb backdrop for railway photography and brings passengers right into the Forest.

There are real ale pubs nearby and a guide to local walks has been published by the DMU Group (our diesel railcar restoration group) and is on sale at the station.

RSPB Nagshead reserve is also within walking distance.
