Main line train connections from a wide area to Lydney Station

Catch the 11.35 steam train from Dean Forest Railway’s Lydney Junction Station.

Alternatively we have a large free car park at Norchard Station – catch the 11.10 train.

Have a leisurely nostalgic train ride up through the Forest to the newly opened showcase station at Parkend where your pre-booked cycle will be waiting for you.

Enjoy a quiet cycle ride through the Forest of Dean.

Picnic in the peace and tranquility of this ancient woodland - or call at Beechenhurst Lodge or a real ale pub for a delicious freshly prepared lunch.

There is extensive network of stoned tracks and a dedicated cycle track for you to explore.

Pick out your own route or follow one of the suggested routes - when planning it is always best to proceed clockwise on the way-marked trail.

Catch the 16.00 steam train from Parkend to return to Norchard or Lydney main line station.
